Issue Framing
- Review To Do list form Wiki:
- Establish HISP-to-HISP communications
- Determine the scope of the edge protocols
- Design demo to showcase an implementation
- Introductions and goals
Discussion
The discussion started with presenting the To Do list from the Wiki page. Agreement was reached that HISP-to-HISP (backbone) protocol is the main focus of implementatiion, and that Karen's proposal to limit the edge protocols to XDM and XDR for the purposes of intial implementation is appropriate.
The introductions and goals of the participants led the discussion of what to present for the IHE Implementation for the week of June 6. MedAllies has test systems which can function as HISPs, including two test domains which can talk to each other, and XDR to XDM transformation at the destination. GE has a test system which can be an XDR Document Source, Epic has a test system which can be both an XDR Document Source and and an XDR Document Recipient. 4 cases were discussed (see decision table).
It was noted that it would be nice to have the Comprehensive HIE interoperability user story as the basis for the demo, but unlikely to have time to add to the NHIN-Direct transactions for the week of June 6. We need to map the demo cases to the NHIN Direct user stories.
